Like last year, about 1,100 people participated, however revenue is expected to be slightly higher than prior years. A record-setting number of local businesses and organizations participated in the Expo area this year.

Proceeds from the Run will benefit Soroptimist's Live Your Dream Program that assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families by giving them resources to improve their education, skills and employment prospects, and the Dream It Be It Program to help girls in high  school by providing access to professional role models and career education. Proceeds also go to help local organizations such as Lakewood Meals on Wheels, Su Casa~Ending Domestic Violence, Long Beach Ronald McDonald House, and 999 for Kids (a program benefitting foster children in L.A. County).

Major sponsors of the run included Lakewood Center, Piazza Family McDonald’s Restaurants, the City of Lakewood, Kenny’s Auto Service, Back to Life Chiropractic, CJ Construction, L.A. County Supervisor Janice Hahn, City Light & Power, TLD Law, EDCO, CARE Ambulance, Lakewood Regional Medical Center, and Willdan.
