High school students can learn about free community college tuition

Cerritos College and Long Beach City College are offering free two-year tuition to local high school graduates.

Students from Artesia High School, Mayfair High School and other schools in the Cerritos College area can apply for the “Cerritos Complete” program, which provides free tuition and priority enrollment to students who sign up for the program during their senior year.

Cerritos Complete provides strong personal, financial and academic support including educational planning and counseling sessions designed to enhance a student’s success in college. Orientation sessions are coming up where parents and students can learn and ask questions about the program.

  • Mayfair HS will host an orientation on Feb. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the MPB.
  • Artesia HS will host an orientation on Feb. 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center.
